Exploring the World Wide Web

It is possible that the emergence of the “World Wide Web” will be considered the most important development in human history. The “web” is a collection of millions of computers connected by the “Internet.” The Internet was developed by the US military as a means of ensuring that some communications links would continue to exist no matter what happened to our society and its infrastructure every computer connected to the Internet is part of the national security structure of the United States, because every computer can potentially act as a communications link with any other computer on the “net.”
